Welded beams

First grade welded products are produced in accordance with ISO9001 Quality Systems. Utilising the latest equipment with manufacturing capabilities of 150,000 tons annually, we can cater for any size project. Job specific codes are developed, tested and written, ensuring the product is of highest standard meeting all our clients’ requirements.

Structural steel member shaped like an H in section. The horizontal elements of the “I” are flanges, while the vertical element is the web. The web resists shear forces while the flanges resist most of the bending moment experienced by the beam. Beam theory shows that the H-shaped section is a very efficient form for carrying both bending and shear loads in the plane of the web.

A T-beam, used in construction, is a load-bearing structure metal, with a t-shaped cross section. The top of the t-shaped cross section serves as a flange or compression member in resisting compressive stresses. The web of the beam below the compression flange serves to resists shear stress and to provide greater separation for the coupled forces of bending.
